Rose took to the court tonight, looking to improve continue their impressive run through the ECC 3A/4A against crosstown rival, D.H. Conley. After a back and forth start to the game, Rose took a four point advantage into the second quarter. Both teams got streaky from the field, Rose scoring 27 in the 2nd and Conley scoring 26. Rose relied on their pressure defense to force some turnovers in the second half, leading to quick transition baskets and ultimately took the win, 84-75. Sophomore Montez Green, who was 5-6 from behind the arc, led the way for the Rampants with 21. Fellow sophomores Alkevion Waller (18) and Aaron Murphy (17) finished behind him in scoring. Rose, now 16-1 and 6-1 in conference, are back in action next Monday as they host New Bern and look to extend their conference winning streak.
